Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 whereby schools were allocated funding for children from low- income families who were eligible for free school meals, looked after children and those families with parents in the Armed Forces. It is a funding System which enables us to provide targeted support and is ring-fenced to ensure that it is spent on the target group of pupils and used to achieve the highest levels of achievement.
From September 2012, schools must report funding allocation to parents and the wider community.
