Admissions Procedure

Ravenbank Primary School follows the admissions procedure for Warrington Borough Council.  Admissions information can be accessed on Warrington Borough Council - School Admissions

Before applying all applicants are advised to read the 'Primary School Information Booklet '. This can be found on WBC's website https://www.warrington.gov.uk/primary-school-admissions

Tours of School

Visits to school are most welcome; please contact the school office to make an appointment.

We also hold two tours of school in October - these dates will be advertised on the website nearer the time.

Admissions to Reception September 2024

Following a ‘significant change’ application to the Department for Education from The Beam Trust the PAN for 2024 has been changed and Ravenbank Primary School will only offer 30 places for Reception 2024.  Please click on the link below to view the letter from the DfE.

Admissions to Reception September 2025

If your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, they are due to start Reception class in September 2025. The closing date to apply for your child to start Reception in September 2025 is January 2025. Applications for Reception places  will open in September 2024. 

How to apply

WBC's online application form is available from 2 September 2024 until midnight on 15 January 2025

Please have your letter and information sheet (available from nursery) to hand when starting your online application form. You will also need your Council Tax reference number which you can find on your council tax bill.

Getting an offer of a place

WBC send offers to all on-time applications by email unless you choose to get this by post. Email offers will be sent to the address you gave on the online application form from 10am on 16 April 2025. If you chose to be told by post, letters will be sent by second class post on 16 April 2025. Please allow time for delivery.
