School Meals

The school is committed to encouraging a healthy lifestyle. The school provides freshly prepared meals. Children stay for school dinners or bring packed lunches. These children are supervised during the lunch hour by Mealtime Assistants. It is essential that children co-operate with these members of staff by behaving sensibly and quietly during the dinnertime.

We operate a "pay on the day" system however, we no longer accept cash payments as we now use ParentPay for all school lunches and snacks.  If you have not received any information regarding ParentPay, please contact the school office or we have a ParentPay page on the left tabs you can view.

The dinner and snack register is taken every morning in class.  This is where your child will inform the teacher if they are having a school dinner and what they would like for snack.

If your account is arrears we will send a text asking you to top your account up.  If your account is in arrears over £10  we will be unable to provide a snack or school meal until this is cleared.  If you need to discuss your account finances, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

ALL INFANTS are eligible for a universal free school meal.  This will be regardless of income or existing entitlement.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE SERIOUS NUT ALLERGIES IN SCHOOL.

WHEN PROVIDING YOUR CHILD WITH A HEALTHY SNACK OR PACKED LUNCH THIS MUST NOT INCLUDE NUTS OF ANY FORM INCLUDING NUTELLA, PEANUT BUTTER, PESTO ETC THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION IN THIS MATTER.

Free School Meals and Pupil Premium Eligibility

We strive to ensure that we provide your child with the best education and support we can, and there is help available for families in certain circumstances.  Not unsurprisingly given the current cost of living crisis, we have seen a significant increase in the number of families at school becoming eligible for Universal Credit and consequently for Free School Meals (FSM), who have never previously been eligible.  If you think your child may be eligible based on the critera on the FSM form below, please complete the form and return it to the FSM team at Warrington Borough Council.

“We are able to use this grant to heavily subsidise the cost of school residential holidays and since September 2014 we have also used the grant to issue every child who is currently eligible for free school meals or who becomes eligible by September 2022 with a £70 school voucher. This grant can then be used to pay for school trips, school residential holidays or school club payments.”

We would like to reassure you that details of pupil premium are treated as highly confidential and are not discussed with the children.
