Year 6 Sats Support

SATS support and Information

As you are aware, SATs week is Monday 11th -Thursday 14th May 2026 where the Year 6 children will be completing formal assessments in school. The timetable for the assessments is as follows:

Monday 11th May SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar)

Tuesday 12th May Reading

Wednesday 13th May Maths Arithmetic Paper 1 and Reasoning Paper 2

Thursday 14th May Maths Reasoning Paper 3

We ask that parents and carers avoid booking any appointments or holidays during this period.

Class teachers will be holding an informal drop-in session for you to ask any questions about SATS on Wednesday 1st April 2026 : 3:15 - 4:15pm.

Writing support

Writing is not tested like the other subjects. Instead, it is based on teacher assessment on pieces of assessed writing produced throughout the year. Please see below for examples of writing and support documentation.
