Ravenbank Wraparound Care
Key Information
We are delighted to be opening Ravenbank Wraparound Care from September 2026, providing high-quality childcare before and after the school day for Ravenbank families. Our wraparound care will be run by the school and will reflect our Ravenbank values of Friendship, Respect, Perseverance and Trust. The provision will offer a safe, caring and enjoyable environment where children can start and end their school day positively.
Opening Times and Sessions
Breakfast Club
Our breakfast provision will run each morning during term time.
7.30am drop off – £7
This session includes breakfast.
8.00am drop off – £6
This session also includes breakfast.
Children will be supervised by school staff and will have time to eat, play and prepare calmly for the school day.
After-School Wraparound Care
Our after-school provision will run from:
3.15pm to 6.00pm – £14
We intend to provide a hot meal during the after-school session. Children will also have access to a range of activities, including play, creative activities, outdoor opportunities and time to relax after the school day.
Extra-curricular clubs will continue to be booked separately. Where children attend an after-school club, arrangements will be made for them to move safely into wraparound care afterwards, where this has been booked.
Booking and Payment
A booking system will be available in the coming weeks. Parents and carers will be asked to book sessions in advance so that staffing, meals and activities can be planned effectively.
We are pleased to confirm that families will be able to use childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare payments to pay for wraparound sessions.
Further details about how to book and pay will be shared with families before the provision opens.
Our Aims
Ravenbank Wraparound Care aims to:
provide a safe, welcoming and familiar environment for children
support working families with reliable before and after school childcare
offer a positive balance of structured activities, free play, outdoor time and relaxation
promote children’s independence, confidence and social skills
ensure children are well cared for by trained and trusted staff
maintain consistency with the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion expectations
Safeguarding and Supervision
Children’s safety and well-being are our highest priority. Ravenbank Wraparound Care will follow the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
Staff will ensure that children are supervised appropriately at all times. Registers will be taken at the start of each session, and children will be released only to adults authorised to collect them.
All staff working in wraparound care will receive appropriate safeguarding training. First aid, allergy awareness, medication procedures and emergency arrangements will also be in place.
Food, Allergies and Medical Needs
Breakfast will be provided during the morning sessions, and we intend to provide a hot meal during the after-school session.
Parents and carers must ensure that the school has up-to-date information about any allergies, dietary requirements or medical needs. This information will be used to help us plan food safely and ensure appropriate care is in place.
Medication will only be administered in line with the school’s medication policy and where the correct permissions and arrangements are in place.
Behaviour and Expectations
Ravenbank Wraparound Care will follow the same high expectations as the school day. Children will be encouraged to show kindness, respect and responsibility.
We want all children to feel happy, safe and included. Staff will support children to make positive choices, play cooperatively and treat others with care.
If concerns arise about behaviour, staff will work with parents and carers to ensure the right support is in place. In rare cases, where behaviour presents a risk to the safety or well-being of others, the school may need to review a child’s place in the provision.
Inclusion
We are committed to ensuring that wraparound care is inclusive and accessible wherever possible. Parents and carers should share any relevant information about their child’s needs when booking a place, so that we can consider how best to support them.
Where a child has additional needs, we may meet with parents and carers before the child starts attending wraparound care to agree any reasonable adjustments or support arrangements.
Late Collection
After-school wraparound care closes at 6.00pm. Children must be collected promptly by this time.
If a parent or carer is delayed, they should contact school as soon as possible. Repeated late collection may result in additional charges or a review of the child’s place, in line with the wraparound care policy.
Further Information
More information about booking, payment and confirmed menus will be shared with families before the provision opens.
